Christmas is a Time of Giving…Back to the Community

Christmas is the season of giving. During this time of year, we are inspired to shower our loved ones with gifts wrapped in festive paper with shiny bows, but Christmas also reminds us of our extended human family, and we look for ways to bring joy into the lives of those who are less fortunate.

In the current economic climate, there are so many people who need a helping hand in our community. No one person, family or business alone can give everyone a Merry Christmas. Fortunately, there are hundreds and thousands of people looking for ways to give back to their community, and if we all do what we can, with what we have, where we are, together, we can make a difference.

Our Community Support

We know that our success is connected to the success of Albuquerque and our larger New Mexico community. We have raised a family in a local Christian culture that fosters and encourages charity and respect for others. We have grown a business because our community trusts us to care for their needs. We have been blessed to call New Mexico home, and that allows us to contribute to those “things”—organizations, funds, projects, etc.—that become blessings to others.

Bernitsky Vision is proud to support our community by contributing to:

  • Noon Day Ministries
  • United Way of Central New Mexico
  • Albuquerque Community Foundation
  • Wounded Warrior Project
  • World Neigbors
  • Medical Missions International
  • Mexico Medical Missions

We are also proud to teach our children how to give through our family’s community support, which includes:

  • Adding to two endowed Presidential Scholarships at UNM
  • Building the Science Center at Manzano Day School
  • Giving to our home church
  • Serving on boards of the organizations we support

As long as we are part of the Albuquerque, New Mexico community, we intend to support our neighbors so that they may feel blessed to call it home, too.

Your Community Support

A lot of little gifts make a big difference. We encourage everyone to find a way to celebrate the spirit of the holiday season…even if you feel all you’re able to give back is a smile.
