where he was involved in the original PERK studies of RK. He was
later involved in the early U.S. FDA trials of the Nidek excimer

vision correction. He was the first New Mexico physician to offer
his patients the improved accuracy of a tracking laser (in 1999),
and is the FIRST New Mexico physician to
offer his patients the improved safety and precision of the blade-free,
all laser Lasik – the Intralase. He was the first physician in New Mexico to perform LASIK with the combination of Custom Wavefront technology and blade-free Intralase - the only approved LASIK technology for NASA astronauts, and Naval and Air Force pilots.
