Our office was designed for your comfort. And your treatment is tailored to meet your needs and expectations. Every member of our staff is dedicated to providing excellent patient care. True to his philosophy, Dr. Bernitsky meets with every patient, and conducts every surgical procedure himself. You will be treated professionally from your first call to our office, and throughout your entire experience with us. A decision to have Lasik surgery is an important one, and we treat it that way.

EXPERIENCED SURGEONS
Choosing an experienced Lasik surgeon is one of the most important steps you take in ensuring a good result. Dr. Bernitsky has performed thousands of Lasik procedures, and has been involved in vision correction surgery for nearly 20 years. He is a widely respected corneal surgeon performing corneal transplants, and state-of-the-art cataract surgery. Dr. Bernitsky’s specialized training in advanced corneal surgery, done at Johns Hopkins, makes him uniquely qualified to deal with even the most complex eye problems.

ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY
Dr. Bernitsky is committed to providing his patients not only the very safest and best technology available, but a variety of options. No single procedure or technology is best for every patient. For this reason he offers two different custom wavefront excimer lasers: the Bausch and Lomb 217 z Zyoptix laser, and the VISX Star S4 with iris recognition. Custom wavefront technology in combination with Intralase - the first blade-free, all-laser LASIK procedure has been shown to provide the safest, most accurate vision correction available. If LASIK isn't best for your situation, Dr. Bernitsky is the first and only New Mexico surgeon certified to implant the only reversible vision correction alternative - the Staar Visian ICL. In addition, he offers several presbyopia-correcting lenses including the Crystalens, ReSTOR, and ReZoom lenses.

COMMUNITY COMMITMENT
Dr. Bernitsky is committed to his hometown of Albuquerque. He is proud of his ongoing support of several community institutions including the Storehouse, Easter Seals, and The Albuquerque Museum of Natural History. He also regularly volunteers his time at Healthcare for the Homeless.
